SweetMango uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries to keep the app working and to understand how learners use it. This page explains what we store and why.
What we store

Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page visits and understand which languages learners choose. Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept on the consent banner. If you click Decline (or never respond), no analytics data is collected.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for sweetmango.app and app.sweetmango.app, then reloading the page.
Necessary storage
sm_consent is a cookie set on .sweetmango.app so your preference is shared
between sweetmango.app and app.sweetmango.app — you only need to respond once.
sm_settings is stored in localStorage (not a cookie) and saves your in-app preferences.
Both are set regardless of your analytics preference.
You can change your analytics preference at any time by deleting the sm_consent cookie
in your browser’s DevTools and reloading the page.
Local storage we use
In addition to cookies, SweetMango stores small amounts of data in your browser’s localStorage. This is similar to cookies but never sent to a server unless you take an action that needs it. All current entries are strictly necessary for the site to function and do not trigger the cookie banner.
